Located in the heart of commercial district in Navi Mumbai, the steel, glass and stone clad building is intended to occupy a full block and create strong architectural links to the neighborhood and to the city. The windows and glass atria reduce the buildings impact at the street level and maintain natural light in the offices, laboratories and public areas. The design encourages collaboration and interaction among the multidisciplinary researchers including biologists, chemists, engineers and administrative staff. The building is configured to reduce the extent of dependance on fossil fuels. Collage worked with Arnita Consultants, the lead for the project, on the development of concept design for this project.
